Paver sealing in Fort Myers
Older river-corridor properties and 2000s subdivisions need different things. Here is what we usually find on each.
Fort Myers pavers, by neighborhood
Fort Myers spans a much wider range of property ages than Cape Coral does, and the age of the paver is what decides the job.
- McGregor and the river corridor: older installs, often clay brick or early concrete pavers, frequently sealed once years ago and now cloudy. Stripping is common here.
- Whiskey Creek, Iona, Villas: 70s and 80s homes where the pavers are a later addition. Joints are usually well washed out and need serious re-sanding.
- Gateway, Daniels, Colonial: 1990s to 2000s subdivisions with large concrete-paver driveways, mostly never sealed. Straightforward jobs, big areas.
- Downtown and the historic district: small courtyards and brick walkways, tight access, more hand work than machine work.
The cloudy-paver problem
More than half the Fort Myers calls we take are about pavers that look worse after being sealed than before. The surface has gone milky white, or the sealer is flaking off in sheets.
That is moisture trapped under a solvent-based sealer, almost always from sealing damp pavers or laying it on too thick. It does not weather off and it cannot be sealed over. The old product has to come off first, which is $1.00–$2.50 per square foot on top of the normal rate, and we quote it as its own line so you can see it.
Further from the water, but not easier
Inland Fort Myers escapes the salt spray that Cape canal properties get, but it trades it for shade. Oak canopy and heavier tree cover mean more organic staining, more leaf tannin and considerably more black algae spotting in the joints. Those need treating, not just washing, or they are back within months.

What it costs
The rate does not change by town: $1.50–$3.00 per square foot for a full clean, re-sand and seal, with a typical driveway at $1,100–$2,900 and a pool deck at $1,600–$3,600. The full pricing breakdown covers everything.
Every figure here is a researched market range for Cape Coral and Lee County, not an offer. Paver sealing is priced on measured area and the condition of what is already down, so your price comes from the on-site measure and is given to you in writing.
Fort Myers questions
Call (239) 329-7707 and we will book a measure.
Do you charge extra to come to Fort Myers?
No. Fort Myers is a standard service area and the square-foot rate is the same as in Cape Coral.
My pavers were sealed years ago and look cloudy. What now?
That is a failed solvent sealer with moisture trapped under it, and it is extremely common on older Fort Myers properties. It has to be stripped before the new coat goes on, at $1.00–$2.50 per square foot on top of the sealing.
Can you do a pool cage deck?
Yes. Screened decks need more masking and the screens protected, and we use a matte or penetrating sealer so the deck does not get slippery.
How far into Fort Myers do you go?
All of it: McGregor, Whiskey Creek, the Iona area, Gateway, Daniels and downtown. If you are near the Lee County line, send the address and we will tell you.
How long does a driveway take?
Most are one day for cleaning and re-sanding, then sealing once the pavers are properly dry. We watch the forecast and will move a date rather than seal into a storm.
